Happy Bloomin’ Birthday

This is an adorable birthday card featuring a different technique with the way the card is cut!

Start out by cutting a piece of card stock 11″ x 4 1/4″ and then score this piece in the middle (which will be the fold of your card).

Next, cut off a piece 2 1/4″ wide from the bottom end on the left side up to the fold line.   Remaining will be the bottom front of your card to fold over.

It may be hard to see, but in this picture, the card is folded over the way you will close it.

Next, add a piece of whisper white card stock (4″ x 5 1/4″) on the inside where you are also going to stamp “Happy Blooming Birthday”.  Then adhere a piece of card stock (1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″) from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper to the front bottom half of the card.

Next is the fun part!  You get to make a bunch of flowers and leaves with the stamp set Flower Patch and thinlets matching this set, using watermelon wonder, peek-a-boo peach and pear pizzazz inks.  Now have fun playing around and arranging your flowers the way you want them.  I found that glue dots worked the best for adhering the flowers.  Be sure not to glue them at the very top or they will stick to your white card stock and you will not be able to open up the card.

Here is a pic of the finished project!  I just love how this card turned out!

Any questions, send me a message.  I know this one is a little tricky 🙂
